February 15, 2013

Today was not just a Friday, it was a Fun-day!
Met up at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana with an old pal whom I see WAY too seldom.
Our intention was to see the fabulous costume exhibit...

But first I had us detour 2 blocks to the Bowers Children Museum because I thought they were having a drawing lesson. No drawing lesson but, we managed to have some laughs wearing the numerous props.

We finally made our way back to the Costume collection at the Bowers. The collection is from Cosprop in London which is apparently a giant source of period costumes for all major film studios. The Bower exhibit has 43 costumes that were worn by 30 different actors in 25 various films.
The exhibit ends March 10 and I highly recommend it.

After the exhibit a yummy lunch at the museum restaurant...

A beautiful gift of an original drawing by my so very, very talented and ridiculously modest friend...
Thank you TD

And more silly fun at the Santa Ana Artists Village just down the street from the museum.

A day with a lot of fun, a lot of laughs, a little culture, a little adventure and a little sad...
my dear friend is moving out of state.
