Sssshhhhhh... I am wearing shorts to work. 

It's very casual but, my boss is on sabbatical so I'm hoping no one notices.

It's also about 90 degrees outside but, must always hide un-toned arms!

I really liked the clean lines of this outfit; hard to go wrong with a blue jacket, white shirt and khaki pants ( too bad my posture is awful ).

And the pants end at the new length for Fall which is right at the ankle and my new ankle booties are also very fashion forward.

Ankles are my emphasis for Fall 2013.

The rest of me is getting pretty decrepit :)

The theme of the weekend was tall ships and pirates!

Seven tall historic ships sailed into Dana Point Harbor for the weekend and festivities, pirates, and LOTS of visitors followed.

Pirate themed crafts were on display and these Tricorn hats were exquisitely made of leather! 

Amazing workmanship and I was too chicken to ask how much the hats cost.

I always have a soft spot for hats although I doubt I would ever have an occasion to wear the three sided turned up brim Tricorn that was last popular in the 17th and 18th century.

Wanna-be pirates were everywhere!

And some pirates were better than others. 

Tall ships, crafts and pirates are all fine but, here is what really made my heart sing...

fresh hot kettle corn!

Shiver me timbers it was delicious!!

OMG! Today was a scorcher and after work I had to impress someone who would inevitably ask me what I do...and in this TERRIBLE outfit I had to say " fashion instructor'!

When the heat is on ( in more than one way ) I seem to wilt.

Extra long Labor Day weekend because it was a faculty development day off yesterday. 

I totally developed some serious relaxation.

Today was business and I had to see some folks about some stuff down at the city.
